Yinuo received her Bachelor of Music Degree from Oberlin Conservatory of Music (USA), and Master of Music Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music (USA), and Graduate Diploma in harp performance from Boston University School of Fine Arts.  Her principal teachers include world-renown harp soloist Yolanda Kondanssis, former Prinicpal Harpist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra Ann Hobson Pilot, Joan Holland at Interlochen Arts academy and Lin-Lin Wei at the Central Conservatory of Beijing.  She also studied privately with the legendary harp pedagogue Alice Chalifoux and distinguished French harp soloist Xavier de Maistre.

 

Yinuo is very passionate about teaching and has nearly 20 years of music teaching experience. She tutors harp at the University of Melbourne and has taught and coached students at Oberlin College (US), Interlochen Arts Center (US), Melbourne Youth Music and Wesley College.  In addition, Yinuo maintains a private harp studio and teaches both pedal and lever harp to students of all ages and levels.

 

The University of Melbourne Conservatorium of Music & the VCA

The Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, which is a division of the Faculty of VCA and MCM, has a distinguished history reaching back to the awarding of the first music degree at the University of Melbourne in 1879.  It is the oldest and one of the largest music schools in Australia, with the largest cohort of international students. The MCM offers undergraduate and graduate programs, and it occupies a position of unrivalled national and regional excellence and leadership in research training in music. Harp students will gain exceptional performance experience while receiving a very comprehensive education.

 

Private Harp Lessons

All private harp lessons are personally tailored to fit individual students and their needs. Lesson times and rates vary, depending on the level of the student and length of the lesson. Currently private lessons are taught in 30-min or 60-min sessions. Yinuo's students have great success at AMEB exams, scholarship auditions and youth orchestra auditions.
